SVP, Chief Operating Officer

Kate Smith brings a wealth of experience and expertise to her role as Senior Vice President, Chief Operating Officer at Porter Capital. Prior to moving to the United States in 2013, Kate spent sixteen years in the factoring industry in the United Kingdom. During this time, she held various roles in independently owned factoring companies, including running the operations team for Bibby International, the UK’s largest independent factoring company. She also gained valuable experience in all areas of operations and risk, including audit and relationship management.

After moving to the United States, Kate took on the position of Head of Operations for Bibby Financial Services in Chicago, IL. In this role, she demonstrated her exceptional leadership skills and ability to manage complex operations. In 2017, Kate joined Porter Capital and has been an integral part of the team, overseeing all areas of operations, credit, and risk. Her skills in financial risk, credit analysis, funding, and working capital management have been instrumental in driving the company’s growth and success.

Kate attended Sutton Coldfield College in Birmingham, England, where she honed her skills and developed her passion for the factoring industry. Her dedication to her work and her commitment to excellence make her an asset to the Porter Capital team.
